Coming Fall 2013: Clearproof™ Acne System

In my previous post Velocity® Facial Cleanser I offered a solution to your acne problems through our Mary Kay product called Velocity. I explained how when I was younger I took care of my acne problem by taking charge of the problem and used what was available at the time. I also explained how Velocity would work for you.

Well, I am here today to tell you that we will no longer be offering Velocity Acne Treatment any more coming this fall 2013. I’m so excited to announce that starting in the fall we will be introducing a new line of acne treatment system called Clearproof™. I will present you with a brief description.

And now, introducing…

In an independent consumer study†, 8 out of 10 people said that the Clear Proof™ Acne System clears up pimples fast! Here’s what else they had to say†:

  • My complexion looks clearer – 84%
  • Helps clear up pimples better than what I’ve been using – 77%
  • Reduces the severity of acne blemishes – 82%
  • Fades the look of lingering acne spots – 80%
  • Minimizes the appearance of pores – 85%

†Results reflect the percentage of panelists who agreed with the statements during a three-week independent consumer study.
‡Over-the-counter drug product

This product is for:

  • Those who are looking for an effective yet gentle regimen for treating your mild to moderate acne.
  • A teen, or a mom who buys acne products for her teen and wants a multi-faceted approach to clearing up blemishes and preventing new breakouts from forming.

ORDER OF APPLICATION:

  1. Clear Proof™ Clarifying Cleansing Gel‡
  2. Clear Proof™ Blemish Control Toner‡
  3. Clear Proof™ Acne Treatment Gel‡
  4. Clear Proof™ Oil-free Moisturizer for Acne Prone Skin

‡Over-the-counter drug product

How It Works:

The Clear Proof™ Acne System uses a combination of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide to attack the multiple factors that can contribute to acne breakouts. Salicylic acid acts like an exfoliant to promote the easy removal of dead skin cells. As such, it helps keep pores unclogged and reduce the build-up of P. acnes bacteria. Benzoyl peroxide (BPO), on the other hand, is an oxygen-releasing ingredient that kills bacteria. P. acnes bacteria flourish when there’s a lack of oxygen, like in a clogged pore. By creating an oxygen-rich environment, BPO can help reduce the number of P. acnes bacteria that can cause lesions to form. It also can help in dissolving the buildup of dead skin cells.

So that’s the 411 on the new Clear Proof Acne System from Mary Kay. Remember it is not yet available until the fall of 2013. The links I provided are For Presentation Only. Please check back in on these links when the product is available in the fall to order them.
